Femi Oyetola, son of former Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola, has distributed food packs to 5,000 vulnerable households in Osun Central Senatorial District, ahead of Ramadan. The gesture, aimed at easing the burden of the holy month, includes essential items like rice, garri, spaghetti, and vegetable oil.
The distribution, carried out by The PUNCH, targeted the less privileged, including widows, people living with disabilities, and the elderly. Femi Oyetola emphasized that this initiative is part of his ongoing efforts to support vulnerable populations, particularly in rural and under-resourced communities.
Similarly, other philanthropists and government officials have also launched Ramadan food distribution programs. Rep. Bamidele Salam distributed food items and cash support to over 10,000 residents in Osun State, while Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State launched a Ramadan support program, targeting 300,000 households.
