Ronaldo Ventures Into Movie Industry, Unveils New Studio

Iconic soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed plans for a career shift beyond the playing field.

Currently competing with Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, the 40-year-old Portuguese athlete, Ronaldo, is embarking on an entrepreneurial journey. He is teaming up with 54-year-old filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, known for producing Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and directing crime films like Snatch and Layer Cake.

Ronaldo and Vaughn are joining forces to establish a brand called UR MARV, an autonomous film studio dedicated to ’embracing innovative technology with a nod to tradition’.

A message shared on Ronaldo’s official X account, previously known as Twitter, stated: “Cristiano Ronaldo loves movies; Matthew Vaughn loves sport – and they both love a good story.

“Both have been disruptive champions at their game and will now combine the world of sport and storytelling through the launch of UR MARV, an independent joint venture film studio embracing innovative technology, with a nod to tradition.”

Vaughn also commented: “Cristiano has created stories on the pitch that I could never have written, and I look forward to creating inspiring movies with him – he’s a real-life superhero.”

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
