Britain will celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 years on the throne with four days of funfilled activities beginning with her ceremonial birthday parade on June 2, 2022.

Elizabeth, 96, marked seven decades on the throne in February, and two public holidays have been set aside to create a four-day weekend for nationwide events commemorating her reign from June 2-5.

Among the dedicated fans captured on camera was a team of Royalists which included John Loughrey, 67, from South London, and Maria Scott, who traveled together to the Palace to pitch up outside before the historic celebrations.

“The Queen goes out of her way to meet people. I said to Her Majesty, ‘we are very proud of you and you are always in our hearts,’” Mr. Loughrey told Daily Mail.

“She has seen so much history. She has had a long life, always been there for the Commonwealth and done her duty.”

A longtime fan of Princess Diana also, he added: “The Queen’s 90th birthday was the most special, and what would have been Diana’s 60th.

“Prince William was in the Palace with his kids and he came out and spoke to us, saying this is an unofficial visit. I said, ‘I will always pray for your mother and I will light a candle in Westminster Abbey.”

“We like to show support for the Royal Family as a whole,” Ms. Scott added as she spoke about braving the wet and chilly weather conditions while camping outside the Palace.

She continued: “The police know us because we always come out at royal events. When the rain goes away we normally have people coming by to chat with us. They think it’s wonderful how patriotic we are and it’s wonderful meeting people from so many different countries.

“I think the Queen is amazing. She has been very strong over the years and throughout her life. She is the backbone of the country.”

International Royal super-fans have also arrived at The Mall ahead of the Jubilee celebrations and shared their excitement as Donna Werner, 70, from Connecticut, USA, said: “I think that after 70 years of working in one job [the Queen] should be honoured.

“She has done a wonderful job. She has gone 70 years of her life and she deserves us here to say thank you and for us to give our love, respect, and gratitude for all that she has done.”

Images of fans gathering outside the Palace come after the Queen’s Gold State Coach was seen on London streets for the first time in 20 years early on Wednesday morning as armed forces went underway with Platinum Jubilee rehearsals.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
