Sammie Okposo Died In His Sleep But Did Not Slump – Management

Popular Gospel His singer Sammie Okposo’s Project His manager, Hillary Vincent, has denied viral reports that Sammie Okposo had collapsed at his home in Lekki, Lagos, on the morning of Friday, November 25, 2022. Many news outlets reported that he was taken to hospital after allegedly collapsing and was confirmed dead upon arrival.

However, in an exclusive interview with The Sunday Scoop, Vincent said, “It’s not true that Sammie collapsed and died. This report is false. When the time comes, the family will set the record straight. But I can honestly say it didn’t fall apart. In fact, he never woke up.

“The bereaved family will contact you regarding funeral dates, but for now they are still in mourning and mourning the singer’s death.

The singer was best known for songs such as “Welu Welu,” which was included on his debut album Her Unconditional Love. Na Only You was another popular song included on the No More Drama album. The album featured other gospel singers such as Kefee, Essence, Ige Samsong and Soji Isreal.
Shortly before his passing he hosted a Sammie Okposo Worship Party on November 4, 2022 in Lagos. The day before his death, he posted a retrospective video of the concert on his Instagram page. In the video, he was seen leading the congregation in a fervent praise and worship session. In the meantime, the voices of mourning for the singer did not cease. Veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo posted a video of the two together.

He added the caption, “This was exactly a month ago in the US. We spent two weeks together and fellowshipped as men. Ate, drank and, as I’m known to do, teased you. Toks or Jedi, would drive you to me and we would spend the entire day together.’’
