Santa Claus Reacts To A Young Girl Who Refused To Sit On His Lap

Every year around this time, as you’re shopping for Christmas in the mall, you’ll hear children’s frightened screams piercing the atmosphere. When you pause to investigate the source of the screams, you’ll witness kids struggling to pull themselves off of Santa Claus’ lap and pleading with their parents to spare them.

Snatching the screaming kids onto a poor Santa’s knee, the parents ignore their sobs and dash off to get the ideal moment for their Christmas card photo.

Most kids tremble a little at the sight of Santa Claus.

Fortunately, a certain Santa Claus honored a child’s personal space and gave her praise for bravely standing up for herself.

The mother of the little child, Katie Love, shared a TikTok video in which she portrayed the man, dressed as Santa Claus, sitting next to her toddler daughter and supporting her with a hand over her shoulder. But unlike many kids this close to Santa, she wasn’t crying and trying to get away.

The reason for the small girl’s happy response was that Santa (as well as her parents) accepted her decision to decline to sit on his knee.

Santa told the camera, “I said this is her body and she’s in control of her body.” “She said no when I asked if she wanted to sit on my lap.”

The young girl was commended by Santa for establishing her boundaries and speaking up for herself. He emphasized to her that she should never permit anyone to violate her right to physical autonomy—not even Santa Claus.

Katie, the mother of the young child, praised Santa for his reply. “I appreciate that you honored my daughter’s decision, Santa,” she captioned the video.

Such a brave little girl.
