Seeking Help in Prayer

Seeking Help in Prayer

Not only should we pray and commit our burdens to God, but we should also seek the support of others who will join us in carrying these burdens through their prayers. The Bible reminds us to “carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2).

We, as believers, should not hesitate to ask others to pray for us. God’s promise to hear our prayers demonstrates His love for us. The sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, has destroyed the barrier of our sin, granting us direct access to the Almighty Father through faith (Romans 5:2). However, if we find ourselves lacking the strength or struggling with sin, hindering our ability to approach God’s throne boldly, we should seek help.

Sharing our burdens is important, but we must pick our moments. We should share some burdens with those who know us intimately, as they can pray more effectively and intelligently. Jesus himself prayed both with His disciples and alone, understanding that even His closest followers may not fully comprehend the weight of His burdens.

It is important for us to remain open and humble, not letting anything stand in the way of seeking the prayers of others. We have the wonderful privilege of prayer, and it’s amazing to know that when we pray according to God’s will, He hears us (1 John 5:14).

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
