Self Care

So we had a meeting and my Aunty and boss spoke about you taking good care of yourself and she actually made a video of her doing some exercise and this prompted me to write on it.

The question is What is Self Care?

Self-care is the practice of individuals looking after their own health using the knowledge and information available to them. It is a decision-making process that empowers individuals to look after their own health efficiently and conveniently.

We all want to be fabulously healthy and enjoy a long, happy life. But we may not realize that each of us, in large part, holds the answer to achieving these things right within ourselves.

When you pay adequate attention to your well-being, you’re not considering your needs alone. You’re reinvigorating yourself so that you can be the best version of yourself for the people around you and everyone around you also benefits from the renewed energy and joy you exhibit.

Self-care includes the intentional acts of eating well, paying attention to your physical health, getting enough sleep, exercising regularly, maintaining a strong social network, tending to our spiritual needs, looking after our financial security, identifying things that matter to you, changing your mindset and showing some level of gratitude and so much more. Think of it as the gentle art of loving yourself.

Self-care is important because it help to encourage you to maintain a healthy relationship with yourself first so that you can transmit the good feelings to others. You cannot give to others what you don’t have yourself.

Jill Bolte Taylor will always say that “To experience peace does not mean that your life is always blissful. It means that you are capable of tapping into a blissful state of mind amidst the normal chaos of a hectic life.

With every act of self-care your authentic self gets stronger, and the critical, fearful mind gets weaker. Every act of self-care is a powerful declaration that You are on the right side.

The truth is no one is perfect but gently accept your humanness. Sometimes, I forget to put myself first in life, I tend to look out for people and abandon my own self. This days have come to realize that I need my inner peace and with the help of my mentors I do things that will make make me happy and I look at the mirror and prophesier positive things to myself , like telling myself how beautiful I look and how intelligent I am. Ohhh, I am a Queen, my beauty fearfully and wonderfully made , I was created for a purpose, a purpose that shall be fulfilled, I am the apple 🍏🍏🍏 of God’s eyes, I am Great, I am Blessed, I am Victorious.

Due to the nature of our busy lives, taking a break to look after yourself might sometimes feel like a luxury of which am planning to do this very soon.

I will end by saying that you should allow yourself to enjoy each happy moment in your life.

Thank You!!

One ❤️❤️❤️

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
