Sokoto APC Chairman’s Son And Friend Die In Auto Crash

Isa Sadiq Achida, the chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Sokoto State, has lost his son, Anas Isa Sadiq Achida, in a deadly car accident on his way home from school.

Anas, a 25-year-old civil engineering graduate from Lead City University Ibadan, died on his journey to Sokoto on Saturday, August 26, 2023, after completing his undergraduate studies.

He was killed alongside his companion, 22-year-old Umar Muhammed, a 300-level Public Health student at Lead University Ibadan.

After attending the funeral prayer of late Anas Isa Saddiq Achida, Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu condoled with the deceased’s father and family, characterizing his death as a big loss to the entire State.

He described late Anas as a “humble, brilliant, and dedicated son” and asked Almighty Allah to accept his good actions and forgive his shortcomings.

The governor asked the relatives of late Anas to accept his death as an act of God and to pray for the rest of their son’s souls.

The deceased was afterwards buried according to Islamic customs.

Malam Bashir Gidan Kanawa led a special prayer to Allah, asking for mercy and forgiveness for the deceased.

The Speaker, certain members of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, members of the State Executive Council, the Chief of Staff, Special Advisers and Special Assistants to the Governor, party leadership, politicians, and others attended the funeral prayer.

Similarly, Governor Ahmed Aliyu has expressed condolences to the families of Muhammed Umar and Anas.

The Governor was represented at the condolence visit at Wamakko local government by Aminu Haliru Dikko, Chief of Staff, Government House Sokoto.

He regarded Umar Muhammed’s death as tragic and begged to Almighty Allah to forgive the departed and grant the family the strength to bear the loss.

Malam Bashir Gidan Kanawa and Faruk Labbo, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Domestic Affairs, accompanied the chief of staff on the condolence visit.

Malam Bashir Gidan Kanawa led a special prayer for the repose of Abubakar Bawa’s souls.
