South African Man Kills His Girlfriend And Fakes His Death

A 27-year-old South African guy has been detained for fatally stabbing his 19-year-old girlfriend in Limpopo, near Thohoyandou.

The Thohoyandou Task Team members detained the suspect on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from his hiding place in the Waterberg District at Mokopane, Mahwelereng Zone 17, Polokwane, after learning of his location.

The South African police allegedly rushed immediately to the site after receiving a report that a female victim had been stabbed in Ha-Magidi village on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at around 22:40.

When police arrived, they discovered emergency medical personnel (EMPs) busy treating a 19-year-old victim who subsequently passed away from her wounds on the scene.

The dead was identified as Ridodzula Mudzanani, a resident of the village of Mbaleni, by the next of kin.

The dead was strolling when she ran into her partner, according to preliminary inquiries. After a short period of time, a local resident overheard the girlfriend screaming for help after reportedly being stabbed with a sharp item by the culprit, who had already fled the scene on foot.

The incident involved a couple with two children, and its cause is yet unknown.

A week after the incident, a male was discovered dead, and the identity papers of the sought-after suspect were discovered near the body, creating the impression that he was the one who had died.

The deceased person’s ID, however, was found in his pockets as the investigation went on.

The Police proceeded to track the suspect till his arrest in Mahwelereng after learning via additional thorough investigations that the unidentified body was not the suspect’s.

“I can assure criminals that the long arm of the law shall never fail, it will follow and catch up with you no matter how long it takes and how far you go. They will be nabbed, prosecuted and incarcerated for the evil crimes they committed in the society,” said the Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe.

A murder accusation against the suspect is scheduled to be brought before the Thohoyandou Magistrate Court soon.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
