Spanish Coach Seen Grabbing Female Staff Member’s Breast

Footage has emerged showing Spanish head coach Jorge Vilda attempting to improperly touch a female staff member during the Women’s World Cup final between Spain and England.

The footage, which was shot seconds after Olga Carmona’s 29th-minute goal against the Lionesses, shows the Spanish staff celebrating, with Vilda’s left hand shown on the breast of a female staff member.

Meanwhile, Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales found himself in boiling water after being seen kissing Jenni Hermoso on the winners’ platform following his country’s World Cup final victory over England.

After planting an unsolicited kiss on Jenni’s lips following the game, the football chief faced a barrage of criticism and resignation requests.

Rubiales apologized for his actions in a video speech on Tuesday, August 22, after senior politicians demanded he should resign or apologize.

He began the video by declaring that the national team had accomplished a “historic feat” and that it was one of the “happiest” days in Spanish football history.

But he added: “There is also something I regret and it’s over something that happened between a female player and myself who enjoy a magnificent relationship the same as I have with other women players.

“I’ve no doubt made a mistake and I have to admit it.”

He continued: “At a moment of maximum excitement, without any bad intention or bad faith, what happened in a very spontaneous manner, I repeat without bad faith on either side.

“We didn’t understand really what occurred afterwards because we saw it as something normal and natural but it has caused controversy in some sectors and some people appear to have been upset and therefore I have to apologise.

“Moreover, I have to learn from this and understand that when someone presides over an institution as important as the Spanish FA he has to take more care in events like ceremonies.”

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
