Nollywood actress Stella Damasus has discussed some of the requirements for her daughter’s future spouse, emphasizing that respect and financial security are negotiable.
Speaking in an interview, the actress clarified that her daughter’s potential partner needs to genuinely respect her and be very invested in her.
“One, he has to fully respect you. Forgive me but I will say it, he has to be obsessed with you, very much obsessed with you. Secondly, he has to have more than enough to care of not just himself but of you too. Thirdly, he has to be disciplined, very disciplined. It is easy to say you want to man who loves God, who fears God, but if he has all of that without self discipline of mind, body, everything, everything will scatter.”
“There is many more because he has to be good looking as well,” She stated.
As a caring mother, she only desires the best for her daughter. No mother would want her daughter to endure hardship or suffering in her husband’s house; her strict conditions stem from a place of love and a genuine wish for her daughter’s happiness and well-being.
