Student Kidn@pped After School By Fake Policemen

A specialized police unit in Bloemfontein, South Africa, has initiated an urgent search for 19-year-old student, Kamogelo Baukudi, who was reportedly abducted by two individuals pretending to be law enforcement officers.

According to authorities, Baukudi, a Grade 11 student at Marti du Plessis School in Fichardt Park, was being collected by Daniel Malebatso, who regularly picks her up from school. The two had departed the school grounds in a silver Suzuki Ertiga when they were stopped on Vereeniging Drive in Ehrlich Park.

Provincial police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Thabo Covane, stated that Malebatso reported hearing sirens behind them before being pulled over by a white Toyota Hilux GD-6 double cab. The vehicle was equipped with blue lights on the grille and seemed to have a police radio inside.

“Inside the Toyota Hilux, there were two unknown male persons, one wearing a police uniform and the other dressed in a blue tracksuit,” said Covane.

The individual in uniform allegedly told Malebatso that their vehicle was suspected of being involved in drug deliveries. The suspects then separated the two, directing Malebatso to drive ahead while they trailed behind, supposedly heading toward Park Road police station.

However, while moving westward on Vereeniging Drive, a truck came between the two vehicles, and Malebatso lost track of the Toyota Hilux. Baukudi has not been seen since the incident.

Malebatso later found both his and Baukudi’s cellphones discarded under a bridge on Ferrera Road. He also noted that one of the suspects spoke fluent Sesotho and referenced the name “Thipe.”

Police have opened a case of kidnapping and impersonating a police officer at Parkweg police station. Authorities are now seeking public assistance to aid in the investigation.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
