Substandard Imported Fuel Damaging Vehicles – Dangote

Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, has claimed that poor petrol supplies imported into Nigeria are to blame for the damage numerous cars have sustained across the country.

While addressing at an event recently, Dangote, who is now at odds with regulatory organisations over the operations of his private refinery, indicated that he stands by his past statements that substandard items were being brought into the country.

‘’Most of you had or are still having problems with your vehicles. It is because of the bad fuel being imported into the country. I still stand by what I said. I still stand by what I said. Go to filling stations, pick up and check the quality. That is the only way.

It is not all this one that somebody will bring in a ship and say this is the quality, bringing fake certificate,” he said.

He stated that as time passes, he will reveal more information so that Nigerians may determine where the guilt lies.

‘’Some of the terminals, NNPC people and traders have opened a blending plant somewhere off Malta. We all know these areas. We know what they are doing, is not that we don’t know.”

He went on to say that he is fearless and fears no one.

‘’I have been fighting all my life and then somebody will now say ‘Mr Dangote, I heard that some people came to your hotel to ask for your name and you don’t know who they are and I said ‘Yes they did. Look, I am a very fearless person and I believe so much in God. I do not fear anybody. They can do all that they want. I am not scared. I will fight head-on.’’

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
