Super Eagles End AFCON Qualifiers With Shock Defeat To Rwanda

Rwanda won their last 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier 2-1, defeating Nigeria for the first time in their history.

Additionally, it ended the Super Eagles’ winning streak in the series.

Samuel Chukwueze, a replacement, gave the Eagles the lead following a lackluster first half performance.

However, Ange Mutsinzi and Innocent Nshuti scored two goals in three minutes to give Rwanda their first-ever victory over the Eagles.

Coach Austin Eguavoen made a number of substitutions during the game.

The starting lineup of Bright Osayi-Samuel, Alhassan Yusuf, Raphael Onyedika, Moses Simon, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, and Victor Boniface.
