Super Eagles Star Moses Simon Joins Paris FC

Nigerian winger Moses Simon has finalized a transfer to Paris FC from another French club, Nantes, as announced by the capital-based team on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old has inked a three-year deal with Paris FC as the club gears up for its comeback to Ligue 1, marking its first appearance in the French top tier since the 1978–1979 season.

Simon’s move comes on the heels of a major change in the club’s ownership, with the Arnault family and Austrian energy drink company Red Bull acquiring control of Paris FC in November. This investment played a key role in securing the club’s promotion, with former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp now acting as Red Bull’s global head of football.

Over his six seasons with Nantes, Simon played 201 matches and netted 37 goals. Although the transfer fee remains undisclosed, Paris FC’s sporting director, François Ferracci, noted that the club had long set its sights on the Nigerian international.

“Moses was a priority for us and he has shown a real interest in our project despite a lot of demand [from other clubs],” Ferracci said.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
