Super Eagles To Receive N5.6 Billion If They Lash Ghana’s Black Stars

The Super Eagles, Nigeria’s national football team, will get €12.2 million (N5.6 billion)  from FIFA if they qualify for the Qatar 2022 World Cup later this year.

The 2022 World Cup will take place from November 21 to December 18 and will involve teams from 32 nations.

This will be the Super Eagles’ seventh World Cup participation if they beat Ghana’s Black Stars in the upcoming qualifiers matches. The first game will take place at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, March 25 (today), with the second leg taking place in Abuja on Tuesday, March 29.

FIFA has upped the qualifying incentive from €10 million to €12.2 million in order to assist teams in properly preparing for the tournament.

After Nigeria’s Super Eagles Qualified For the 2018 World Cup, it was equipped with €10 million by FIFA for the tournament preparations.

The Nigerian side is very confident as the Super Eagles Manager, Austine Eguavoen, has stated that the team has the players it needs for the match.

He said, “We have a good headache to deal with – which is a surplus of good players.”

Emmanuel Amuneke, the team’s chief coach also spoke confidently about the team, stating that the super eagles has “the team to earn the World Cup ticket.”

Ghana, on the other hand, has refused to be intimidated as they have recently stated that the Super Eagles are their “little babies, but they pretend to be the big boys.”
