Influencer and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has taken to social media to express her frustration with Nigerians for solely blaming President Bola Tinubu for the country’s economic woes.
According to her, Nigerians should also hold their governors, senators, and local government chairmen accountable for the mismanagement of funds.
Key Points:
- Misdirected Outrage: Tacha believes that public outrage is often misdirected at the president or Lagos State, while underperforming leaders at the grassroots level escape scrutiny.
- Financial Mismanagement: She referenced the recent ₦2.2 trillion disbursed by the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) to the federal, state, and local governments, stressing that funds are available but grossly mismanaged.
- Call to Action: Tacha urges Nigerians to “drag everybody” in leadership positions instead of focusing on a single political office, emphasizing that governors, senators, and local government chairmen have significant roles to play in the welfare of their citizens.
Reactions:
- Support: Some social media users have expressed support for Tacha’s stance, urging influencers to promote constructive criticism and accountability.
- Criticism: Others have criticized her, labeling her comments as nonsensical and typical of influencers who often post irrelevant content.
