Putin Claims That China Has A Peace Plan For Ukraine When The West Is Ready
March 21, 2023When the West is prepared, a Chinese peace plan might serve as the foundation for an end to the bloodshed in Ukraine, according to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Mr. Putin claimed that so far, none of Ukraine’s western supporters had showed any interest in that in remarks made after discussions with the leader of China, Xi Jinping. Also, he stated that Britain would be delivering depleted uranium ammunition for battle tanks to Ukraine, signaling a shift in the West’s approach to arming Kiev with nuclear-tipped weaponry. Without going into any detail, he stated that Russia would react if it occurred. Mr. Xi, who was in Moscow to show support for Russia against the West over the Kremlin’s invasion of Ukraine, lost some of the spotlight to Japanese prime minister Fumio Kishida’s surprise visit to Kyiv on Tuesday. The two trips, which were separated by around 500 miles, demonstrated how the nearly 13-month war has affected international diplomacy as nations rally either Kiev or Moscow. They come after a week in which both China and Japan experienced diplomatic triumphs that strengthened their foreign policies. While Mr. Xi meets with Mr. Putin for a second day in the Russian capital, Mr. Kishida, who will preside over the G7 conference in May, will meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky.
