The Johnson Family Series Finally Ends After 13 Years On Air

Popular family sitcom series, The Johnson will be ending after airing for 13 years — with 10 seasons and 1830 episodes.

In an Instagram post on Monday night, Charles Inojie, who played Lucky Jonhson, appreciated the cast and crew of the series for their “outstanding roles”.

The actor said the past 13 years of the series have been full of “awesomeness and absolute magic”.

Inojie also thanked ‘The Johnsons’ fans for their “unconditional support”.

“After 13 years of absolute magic, 13 years of awesomeness, 13 years of being Africa’s most watched show on television, 13 years of being every family’s favorite, THE JOHNSONS is finally taking a bow,” he wrote.

“I want to use this medium to say a big thank you to @rogers.ofime  @officialthejohnsonsfamily  @nativemediatv @africamagic for the privilege of being #luckyjohnson.

“I thank my cotravellers, the wonderful team of cast and crew, without whom these past 13 years could not have been spectacularly outstanding as THE JOHNSONS made it.

“I am immensely grateful to our fans across the African continent for the love and support we got unconditionally.

“Indeed, while it is the beginning of greater exploits from every individual member of the team, like every good thing that must have a terminal point, it is the end of the road for The Jonhsons.”

The sitcom, which began in 2012, reflects the average family in Lagos, Nigeria, including their distinct characters and ways of survival.

Rogers Ofime served as executive producer, while Thomas Odia and Olusola Roberts directed the series.

It aired on Africa Magic television stations.

‘The Jonhson’ starred Olumide Oworu, Chinedu Ikedieze, and Kunle Bantefa, among others.
