The Most Influential Person On AIB Is Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh

Angela Kyerematem-Jimoh is a Ghanaian Businesswoman who also serves as Microsoft’s Strategic Partnership Lead for Africa. She attended Wesley Girls’ High School and Achimota School in Ghana. She is an alumna of London Guildhall College and Harvard Business School. She also have a BA in Marketing and a French.

She has spent twenty years working in the technology and financial services sectors across Africa and Europe. She joined IBM in 2011 and later became the territory marketing manager in charge of IBM West Africa. Later, she relocated to Nairobi, Kenya to serve as the strategy leader for IBM’s operations in the Central, East, and West Africa. Angela Kyerematem-Jimoh is the first female to become country director of IBM in Africa and the first African female to be appointed Regional General Manager.

Before joining IBM, she had worked for UBS Investment Bank and ABN AMRO Bank in the UK.

Ms. Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh is a member of the Bank of Ghana’s governing board, which is presided over by Dr. Ernest Addison and is in charge of formulating policies for the attainment of the goals of the central bank.

In January 2022, Microsoft announced Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh, a specialist in international business law, as the new Africa Strategic Partnerships Manager in its new Africa Transformation Office. She also serves on the board of the Bank of Ghana. The office will concentrate on promoting growth and investment in four important development areas in Ghana: small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), startups, and digital infrastructure.

Angela Kyerematem-Jimoh was listed as one of Ghana’s Top 50 Corporate Women Leaders by WomanRising in 2016. She received Glitz Africa’s Corporate Personality of the Year award in 2018. In 2023, Forbes Afrique listed her among the Top 50 Women Managers in Africa.
