The Path Of Safety
Life may be brief, but it sure counts. It isn’t also all rosy and smooth; there are positions of snares and moments of trials and betrayals, but God delivers us from them all.
Knowing that there are dangers to escape and snares to avoid puts us in touch with reality, and reminds us that we cannot be careful enough all by ourselves. The path of safety is known only by the Almighty and following the mind of the Spirit rather than our own imaginations or the most well thought out of human counsel makes all the difference.
The most attractive and enticing of human opportunities could in themselves be snares under cover. Whether they present as offers that look too good to be true, as flattery words that make us feel unduly important or as entrapments that keep us in the company of men pleasers; diligently seeking the mind of God remains the only way of escape from them all. Divine guidance enables us to avoid a reckless disposition to life, puts us on the side of utmost vigilance and thus causes us to escape all the snares of the enemy both open and covert.
