“They Gave Me Money To Support Tinubu And I Have To Do My Job” – Portable

Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, a Nigerian musician, has revealed that the All Progressive Congress (APC) paid him to support Bola Tinubu for president.

On Wednesday, July 13, 2022, a video that contained this became viral online.

The artist had previously faced harsh backlash on social media for endorsing the APC for the Saturday, July 16, 2022, Osun State governorship election.

The Zazuu singer has now called on Nigerians to support Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election in a video shared on his Instagram page.

In a separate video, Portable claimed that he was paid to badmouth the former governor of Lagos State during the EndSARS protest, but he also stated that since the APC has paid him, he has now changed his mind.

Speaking in Yoruba, Portable said, “If they pay you money, you have to work. I was once paid to insult Tinubu during the protests. That was a long time ago. Now, APC has said Akoi Tinubu.

“If they pay you, do your job, no ripping. When I was asked to insult Tinubu, I collected my money and did my job. Now Tinubu is the next. They’re the ones that gave me money, and I must do the work for the money I collected. Akoi APC.”
