The insider claims that despite a March 2023 report from People that he intended to go, Joe hasn’t gone to any of Taylor’s gigs on her Eras Stadium Tour because of their “not dramatic” breakup. The relationship between Taylor and Joe Alwyn “had just run its course,” the source told ET.

People confirmed the breakup shortly after ET published their exclusive, citing “differences in their personalities” as the reason for their breakup. Friends believed they would take a break but eventually get back together because they had previously overcome difficulties, a People’s insider said, adding that the couple “weren’t the ideal fit for one another.”

According to People magazine, Taylor and Joe Alwyn first “fell in love” in 2016 and 2017, respectively, while she avoided the spotlight. The source added that the COVID-19 pandemic’s lockdown helped to grow their relationship. “They had plenty in common and fell in love in a safe bubble while she was withdrawing from the world during Reputation,” the source said.
