Three Blind Men Arrested For Drug Trafficking

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) apprehended three blind men who were running an illegal drug operation between Lagos and Kano.

According to a statement issued by Femi Babafemi, the agency’s spokesperson, another blind member of the syndicate is still at large.

The arrest of a blind suspect, Adamu Hassan, 40, along Gwagwalada expressway Abuja with 12kgs of skunk on his way from Lagos to Kano on Saturday 28th October, according to Babafemi, blew the roof off the organization.

However, investigations revealed that he was completely unaware of the contents of the luggage provided to him to deliver in Kano.

According to Babafemi, another suspect, Muktar Abubakar, 59, who is also blind, has lived in Lagos for 40 years and is married to three wives and has 14 children.

‘’Both Muktar Abubakar and Bello Abubakar are joint owners of the business, while the third suspect, Akilu Amadu, 25, also blind equally contributes money to the criminal trade and was indeed the one who delivered the consignment to Adamu at the motor park in Lagos to deliver in Kano. Another blind suspect who is the expected receiver of the consignment in Kano, Mallam Aminu is currently at large,” the statement read.

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
