Thugs Kick Funke Akindele Out Of Lagos Market And Jandor Fumes

Nollywood actress-turned-politician and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor of Lagos, Funke Akindele, has been kicked out of a fruit market in Ketu.

The Nollywood actress-turned-politician was reportedly harassed by several scammers in the marketplace where she was campaigning before the election.

In a meeting with his Imam, head of the Ketu Central Mosque, PDP governor candidate Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, said his team was attacked on Tuesday, January 24. He also said one of his member was stabbed.

Jandor confirmed that Akindale left the campaign trail while the team roamed the streets of the council.

The politician also noted that members of his security team were stabbed and others, including a journalist, were injured. Jandor, however, was not deterred by the gangster attacks and stated that he hoped to free the nation from its shackles and save the nation by making its wealth work for the people.

His words:

“WHAT IS HAPPENING WE DO NOT WANT IT AGAIN. IT IS NOT GOOD FOR DEMOCRACY, BUT DESPITE THE ATTACKS, WE ARE MOVING AND STILL MOTIVATED TO RESCUE OUR PEOPLE.

I KNOW IT IS ONLY GOD THAT CAN GIVE AND TAKE, IF GOD GIVES YOU NO ONE CAN TAKE.”
