…You don’t understand yet the meaning of what I’m doing, but soon it will be clear to you.– John 13:7 (TPT)

This teaching of Jesus can be seen in a much bigger picture. A lot of what He does is hard for us to understand at the time, but it will all make sense in the end. We see them as they are now; raw work in progress and almost meaningless to anyone. But in the end, they are the stunning handiwork of an excellent Creator. This is especially true of many things that happen to us that we can’t immediately explain. Joseph thought at one point, “All of these things are against me!” But as his life went on, he realized that all the things that seemed to have been against him were actually working together to help him. This is how God’s plans for His chosen people work out. Separately, they may appear as ‘bullets’ from hell, but they always work together for our good.

The reverse of a tapestry may look disorganized, yet it usually conceals a beautiful image. That’s how our lives are, too. Most of the time, we only see the back side, which is rough and messy, without recognizing that these imperfections make our lives beautiful. And in the end, God will always be right; His plans for us will always be beautiful if only we would trust enough to commit ourselves to following to the end.

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.”
