President Bola Tinubu has felicitated elder statesman, Alhaji Ashafa Ajibola Erogbogbo as he clocks 100 on May 28, 2026.
The President, while paying glowing tribute to the Centenarian on Wednesday, wrote: “I extend warm greetings to Alhaji Ashafa Ajibola Erogbogbo, an elder statesman and retired aviation supervisor at Shell Company Nigeria Limited, as he marks his centenary on May 28.
“Reaching 100 years is a remarkable milestone, a rare blessing, and a reward for a life of discipline, dedication, integrity, and selfless service to humanity and the nation.
“I join your family in giving glory to God for your century-long journey and your contributions to national development, particularly through your service years at Government Printing Press, Nigeria Customs and Excise and later Shell Company Nigeria Limited. In all the places where you worked, you demonstrated professionalism, diligence, and a commitment to excellence.
“Your role as a respected community leader in Ikorodu, Lagos State and mentor is widely acknowledged. Your wisdom, counsel, and exemplary lifestyle continue to inspire younger generations.
“It is noteworthy that you, the father of Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), remain sharp of mind and warm of spirit at this advanced age.
“I rejoice with you, your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as you celebrate this extraordinary milestone. I also look forward to reading your life story, “Echoes of Grace: The Journey of a Century,” published to mark your birthday.
