Tragic Bomb Blast In Borno Claims Multiple Lives And Injures Many

A female suicide bomber is thought to have detonated a device in Konduga Town, Borno State, killing multiple people.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Friday, the explosion took place at Tashan Kifi, which is also referred to as the fish market in Konduga Town.

According to reports from sources, the female suicide attacker injured over thirty people, and the explosion claimed the lives of over 20 people.

Confirming the attack, the Spokesperson of the Borno police command, ASP Daso Kenneth, says so far only ten people have died in the suicide attack

“We received a distress call yesterday evening at about 10 pm, a female suicide bomber carrying Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs, sneaked into a crowd at a local food market and detonated her explosives, leaving 10 people dead, with several others injured.

“Security agencies were able to condone off the area, evacuated the victims, while the injured ones have been rushed to hospitals in Maiduguri for treatment.

“Let me use this opportunity to call on the members of the public to continue giving useful information to the police and other security agencies on the movement of any suspected criminals, as the war against terrorists should not be left in the hands of security agencies alone”, the PPRO stated.

The killings is becoming scary day by day. May God save us from their hands. Let’s do well to remember the victims in our prayers
