US President Donald Trump has stated his desire for Charlie Kirk’s accused killer to be executed. After a two-day manhunt in Utah, the FBI apprehended Tyler Robinson.
After being handed in by his father, Matt, the 22-year-old was taken into custody. Law enforcement claims that Mr. Robinson coerced his son into making a confession. At 10 p.m. local time, Matt’s son was taken into custody by US Marshals after he called a friend of a clergyman and they notified the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.
“He’s going to be found guilty I imagine. And I hope he gets the de@th penalty,” Trump said during a live appearance on Fox TV.
“Charlie Kirk was the finest person. He didn’t deserve this. He worked so hard, and so well. Everybody liked him.”
On Wednesday, Mr. Kirk, 31, a father of two, was shot dead by a shooter who fired a single shot across the Utah Valley University campus using a hurting rifle.
