Trump Launches Website For $5m ‘Gold Card’ Granting US Residency For Wealthy Foreign Investors

On Wednesday night, US President Donald Trump revealed that the $5 million Gold Card visa program is now accepting signups, enabling affluent foreign nationals to express their interest in a program designed to provide them with an expedited route to U.S. citizenship.

In a message shared on his Truth Social platform, Trump posted a link to the website, which describes the visa as “The Trump Card.”

He stated that “Thousands have been calling and asking how they can sign up,” for the initiative and emphasized, “THE WAITING LIST IS NOW OPEN.”

The TrumpCard.gov website prompts visitors to provide their name, region, and email address, and indicate whether they are applying as an individual or a business, in order “to be notified the moment access opens”.

“Thousands have been calling and asking how they can sign up to ride a beautiful road in gaining access to the Greatest Country and Market anywhere in the World,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.

“It’s called THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. THE WAITING LIST IS NOW OPEN.”

The website also showcases an image of the “Trump Card,” displaying a photo and signature of the president—a version of which he presented to reporters aboard Air Force One in April.

Trump initially introduced the residency visa concept in February, explaining that his administration would provide wealthy applicants with a “gold card” offering residency, work rights, and a pathway to citizenship.

“They’ll be wealthy, and they’ll be successful, and they’ll be spending a lot of money, and paying a lot of taxes and employing a lot of people,” Trump remarked at the time.

In April, Trump showcased a prototype visa—a gold-colored card featuring his image—to journalists on board Air Force One.

Officials from the Trump administration have indicated that the card is intended to replace the EB-5 immigrant investor visa program, which offers permanent residency to immigrants investing at least $1.05m in the US, or $800,000 in designated economically distressed areas.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
