Trump To Carry Out Mass Deportation If Elected President

According to a recent report by The New York Times and CNN, former US President Donald Trump intends to implement a broad expansion of the strict immigration policies of his first administration if he is elected to a second term in 2024.

The strategy calls for gathering up illegal immigrants who are currently in the country and holding them in detention facilities until their deportation.

The article states that the plans include for the construction of sizable camps to detain migrants while they await deportation and the enlistment of local and federal law enforcement to help with the widespread arrests of undocumented immigrants around the nation.

Trump will employ a strategy from his first term to obtain additional cash for a border wall if the US Congress refuses to fund the operation: he would divert money from the Pentagon.

During a speech in Florida this week, Trump asserted that criminals were crossing the US-Mexico border, threatened “young, strong people that had bad intentions,” and pledged to carry out “the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.”

Then, on Saturday, November 11, Trump declared at a rally in New Hampshire that he would use some of the savings for “shelter and treatment for our own homeless veterans” and that he would issue an executive order on Day 1 of a prospective second term ending funding for the provision of shelter and transportation for undocumented immigrants.

Additionally, he asserted that President Joe Biden had committed over $1 million to housing undocumented immigrants in “some of the most opulent hotels in the nation.”

Trump has referred to his visa restriction on nations with a large Muslim population as “strong” and “powerful” during recent campaign rallies.

Last week in Florida, Trump pledged to “terminate all work permits for illegal aliens and demand that Congress send me a bill outlawing all welfare payments to illegal migrants of any kind.”

The former president also promised to punish organizations and nonprofits that he believed enabled widespread illegal immigration and issued a warning about caravans travelling from Mexico to the US border.

Stephen Miller, a former senior Trump administration official who led Trump’s immigration policy, told The Times, “Any activists who doubt President Trump’s resolve in the slightest are making a drastic error: Trump will unleash the vast arsenal of federal powers to implement the most spectacular migration crackdown.”

The Biden campaign issued a scathing statement in response to The Times’ reporting on Saturday, characterizing Trump’s plans as “the horrifying reality that awaits the American people if Donald Trump is allowed anywhere near the Oval Office again.”

“These extreme, racist, cruel policies dreamed up by him and his henchman Stephen Miller are meant to stoke fear and divide us, betting a scared and divided nation is how he wins this election,” said Ammar Moussa, a spokesman for the Biden-Harris 2024 campaign.

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
