Two Men Arrested For Stealing Sallah Ram

On July 5, the Ogun State police command detained two men for allegedly stealing a ram which was kept for Sallah.

The suspects, Adetunji Alagbe and Opeyemi Ogunlokun, were arrested as a result of a report made by Sodiq Abolore, the owner of the ram, to the Ogijo divisional headquarters, who stated that while he was sleeping in his home at around three in the morning, he heard an odd noise in his compound, which prompted him to peek out the window, only to find that the iron gate he had used to block the entrance where he kept his Salah ram had been pulled down.

As a result of this, Abolore stated that he went outside and noticed that his Sallah ram, which he had paid N120,000 for, was missing.

While looking around, he noticed three men shoving his Ram into a waiting Mazda car booth. He then raised an alarm and a distress call was placed to the police.

Two of the three individuals who were being pursued were eventually caught, while the third managed to flee.

The ram was found and the two suspects were taken into custody, according to DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state police command’s spokesperson, who confirmed the event.
