Two Suspects Arrested For Murder Of 18-Year-Old Boy In Bauchi

Two suspects in the horrific murder of 18-year-old Adamu Alkasim have been taken into custody by the Bauchi State Police Command.

In a statement on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, the command spokesperson, SP Ahmed Muhammad Wakil, verified the occurrence and stated that Adamu, a resident of Kofar Dumi, was killed in the state’s Bayan Gari district.

The PPRO reports that Usman Shehu, also known as Babayaro, 20, and Abdullahi Abubakar, also known as Ababa, 19, were taken into custody on charges of criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide.

“Usman Shehu conspired with four others to attack one Adamu, resulting in his d@ath. Upon receiving the report, Commissioner of Police CP Auwal Musa Muhammad ordered a discreet investigation, leading to the arrest of Usman Shehu and Abdullahi Abubakar,” the statement read.

“The case is still under investigation. Upon completion, the suspects will be profiled and charged to court.

“The command is working to apprehend the remaining suspects. Members of the public with information on their whereabouts are urged to contact the Police.

“The Bauchi State Police Command warns that violence and crime will not be tolerated in the state. We will continue to work diligently to ensure justice and safety for all citizens.”
