Tyson Fury Says He Will Not Give Anthony Joshua Another Chance

Tyson Fury, the WBC heavyweight champion, has declared that he won’t give Anthony Joshua another chance to face him after the British-Nigerian boxer missed both of his deadlines for a December match last year.

Fury claims he won’t accept a second round of discussions since Joshua has completely moved on.

“Not interested in any Joshua questions. Zero. In my eyes, the man is dead,” Tyson Fury told Sportbible about his lack of interest in fighting Joshua.

“There’s no business between me and him. Complete. From 2017 to, however long ago, 2022 tried to put up a fight. So it’s not happening,” Fury said.

Recall that in 2021, the teams of Joshua and Fury entered negotiations to have the fight take place, but those discussions fell through after an arbitrator determined that Fury was obliged to face former champion Deontay Wilder instead.

Fury then openly challenged Joshua to a bout in 2022, but neither side was successful in making it happen.

If his discussions with Oleksandr Usyk fall through, the 34-year-old intends to fight Francis Ngannou in a two-bout agreement.

“My offer to Ngannou is on the table. As I said, if Usyk doesn’t fight, I’ll try to get the Ngannou to fight,” Fury said.

“I’ll do a two-fight deal in a boxing ring and cage. In a boxing ring, it would be a pointless competition.”

The 34-year-old plans to fight Francis Ngannou in a two-bout contract if his discussions with Oleksandr Usyk fall through.

Meanwhile, Tyson Fury’s father has said that he is afraid his son will kill Deontay Wilder if they meet for the fourth time.

Fury and Wilder squared off three times between 2018 and 2021, with the first contest ending in a draw and the Gypsy King winning all of their subsequent fights via knockout.

While negotiations for an undisputed heavyweight fight between Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are currently underway, there are rumours that his team has also held private discussions with Wilder’s representatives about a fourth fight taking place at Wembley.

Reacting to the report, Fury’s father, John Fury stated that it would be a terrible idea for the American to survive another fight with the WBC heavyweight champion.
