Tyson Fury’s Wife Reveals The Only Thing That Would Bring Him Back To The Ring

British professional boxer; Tyson Fury, has once again defended his world heavyweight championship in front of a sold-out crowd at Wembley Stadium in what he claims will be the final fight of his storied career.

But his wife; Paris Fury, was overheard saying ‘no chance’ as the Gypsy King discussed his retirement plans after his stunning victory over Dillian Whyte.

In what he said would be his final fight, the Gypsy King retained the WBC heavyweight world championship with a technical knockout victory.

Fury, who dropped Whyte with a vicious uppercut in the sixth round in front of 94,000 fans at Wembley Stadium, said after the fight that he would honor his promise to his wife Paris to retire.

"I'm one of the greatest heavyweights of all time!"

‘I promised my lovely wife, Paris, of 14 years, that after the Wilder 3 fight that would be it, and I meant it,’ Fury said immediately after the fight when asked if he would return to the ring.

‘I had a war, it was a great trilogy and I meant that but I got offered to fight at Wembley at home and I believed that I owed it to the fans, I owed it to every person in the United Kingdom to come here and fight at Wembley,” said Fury.

‘Now it’s all done, I have to be a man of my word and I think this is it, this might be the final curtain for the Gypsy King, and what a way to go out,’ he concluded.

While the Gypsy King was speaking, Paris could be seen mouthing the words “no chance” to someone else in the ring.

She told BT Sport backstage after the fight that Fury had ‘nothing left to prove,’ and that the only reason he would return to the ring would be for a unification bout.

"The only reason that Tyson would bring him back is the unification fight."

When asked if she felt responsible for Tyson’s retirement, she said: “I do a little bit, I would like him to come home now, he has nothing more to prove.”

“That’s the thing if he had something to do I would say ‘yeah Tyson go do it,’ but he has nothing to prove,” Paris said. However, she did add that “the only reason Tyson would come back is for a unification fight. That would be the only reason Tyson Fury would come back in the ring as he has nothing left to prove. To keep boxing on, there’s nothing there for him.”

A unification fight would almost certainly be against one of Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua, who are set to fight again in the summer.

Before Joshua’s loss of his heavyweight title belts to Usyk last year, all hopes were high for a dream British fight between Fury and Joshua.
