UEFA’ Charges Rodri And Morata After Chanted At Euro Final

Spain’s European Championship-winning heroes Rodri and Alvaro Morata have been charged by UEFA for their activities at the Euro 2024 final celebration party.

The Gibraltar FA filed complaints against the two Spanish stars for improper chanting during the celebrations.

During the celebratory celebrations in Madrid, Rodri and apparently Morata screamed ‘It’s Spanish, Gibraltar is Spanish’ during the party, prompting complaints and an investigation.

The body has stated that the two players have been charged for violating ‘general principles of conduct’.

That includes breaking the fundamental standards of decent behaviour, using sporting events for non-sporting purposes, and bringing football, and UEFA in particular, into disrepute.

Last Friday, UEFA confirmed that they had opened an investigation into the Spanish duo’s actions, stating; “A Uefa Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector is being appointed to evaluate a potential violation of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations by the players Rodrigo Hernández Cascante and Álvaro Morata in the context of conduct that occurred during the public presentation of the Uefa Euro 2024 trophy in Madrid on 15 July 2024.

“Further information regarding this matter will be made available in due course.”

Both Rodri and Morata were instrumental in Spain’s Euro 2024 victory, with the Manchester City forward voted Player of the Tournament.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
