Ukraine ‘Agrees To Trump Peace Deal’ To End War With Russia

According to reports, Ukraine has given its approval to the structure of a peace agreement facilitated by the United States, a development that may represent an important initial move toward bringing an end to the conflict with Russia that has lasted nearly four years.

Sources indicate that Ukraine accepted a revised version of the peace agreement during negotiations that American officials conducted with a delegation from Ukraine in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, November 25.

A delegation representing Russia was likewise present in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, though it remains unclear whether any direct joint discussions took place.

News of the apparent agreement surfaced when an unidentified official from the United States informed ABC News that “minor details” remain to be finalised, while adding that “the Ukrainians have agreed to the peace deal.”

“There are some minor details to be sorted out, but they have agreed to a peace deal,” the U.S. official told the news outlet.

Separately, an unnamed Ukrainian official informed Reuters that Ukraine endorses the “essence” of the proposed peace deal framework in the wake of talks held in Geneva over the previous weekend. The same official noted that the “most sensitive issues” contained within the framework would be addressed directly between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and United States President Donald Trump.

It is not yet clear whether the Russian side will accept any version of the modified agreement.

The Kremlin has so far declined to issue any statement regarding the talks that occurred in Abu Dhabi, with President Putin’s Press Secretary, Dmitry Peskov, informing journalists that “we still have nothing to say” and emphasising that the Kremlin was simply “monitoring media reports.”

“We understand that negotiations between the Americans and the Ukrainians are ongoing. We understand that some adjustments are being made to the text that was published; we understand that the text that we unofficially received earlier has already undergone changes, but at some point, the time will probably come when we will also establish contacts with the Americans and we will officially receive some information. For now, we have no new information.
