Unknown Gunmen Kills 14 Youths In Awo-Omamma Imo State..(Viewers Discretion)

Whoever kills by the sword will definitely die by the sword.

Imo state has witnessed several gunmen attacks in recent times. In the latest attack, which happened on the 17th of July, gunmen, suspected to be members of Ebubeagu security operative, attacked guests at a wedding ceremony in Umubochi village in Awo-omamma, Imo state.

According to one of our correspondents who was present at the scene of the event he said “some youths from a neighbouring village; Otulu and Awo-omamma went to their friend’s wedding yesterday at Umubochi, to rejoice and felicitate with their friend that has left bachelorhood.

“Unfortunately for them, some of these unknown gunmen attacked the wedding and started shooting. A total of 14 youths from Otulu were killed, 12 killed at the wedding scene and 2 others were killed close to an undisclosed hotel in Awo-omamma.”

In the early hours of today again, those same set of men who are branded as “Ebubeagwu” also came around and paraded themselves in villages in Awo- ommama, harassing people and ransacking private properties. They destroyed people’s properties looking for nothing. They reportedly took some of the young youths away.

Despite today being a sit-at-home day in most eastern states, it is a day of mourning for most families who lost dear young children to the cold hands of death.

Another man who has been identified as a staff of 33’ breweries was also killed this morning and his body was dumped into a gutter at Awo junction.

We sympathize with all those who lost their loved ones. May their souls rest in peace, Amen.

Security in the South-east has worsened lately with frequent attacks by armed persons. This has been going on for months without the Federal government saying or doing anything about it.

We call on the Nigerian government to look into these killings before it degenerates.

How can ‘Ebubeagu’, a security outfit created by the Imo state government go about killing young promising youths in the state?

This has to stop! Governor Hope Uzodinma call your people to order! They are killing the future of Imo state. They are creating unhappy mothers. They are creating fears in the minds of indigenes both at home and abroad.

We call on all media outlets to please publicize this….Imo state is dying!
