Urgent Alert: Ejimakor Says Nnamdi Kanu’s Life Is At Risk In The North—Calls For Immediate Relocation

Ohaneze, NYCN knock Asari Dokubo over comment on Nnamdi Kanu’s travail

Citing security concerns, Aloy Ejimakor, lead attorney for Nnamdi Kanu, the imprisoned leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has demanded that his client be relocated from northern Nigeria.

Following news of a US military strike on terrorist targets in Sokoto State, Ejimakor made the call on Friday using his X handle. He said the development proved that Sokoto was never a safe place to hold Kanu since it is heavily impacted by terrorist activity.

He encouraged the authorities to move Kanu to a facility outside of what he called the “terrorist belt” in northern Nigeria, arguing that the presence of terrorists in the area poses a major risk to Kanu’s safety.

According to Ejimakor, moving Kanu has become more urgent in light of the recent security situation in the region.

He said: “The US military strike against terrorists in Sokoto has finally confirmed that Sokoto is riddled with terrorists & thus was never a safe place of custody for MAZI NNAMDI KANU. It’s now more urgent that he be travelled outside the terrorist belt in Northern Nigeria.”
