Wayne Rooney Names Country To Win The 2022 World Cup

Wayne Rooney, a Manchester United veteran, has picked his country, England as one of the favourites to win this year’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will begin on November 20th in Qatar.

England will compete in Group B of the World Cup, alongside Iran, the United States, and Wales.

According to Wayne Rooney, “It will be tough, obviously. We’ve only won it once.

“Hopefully, we can build on the back of Euro 2020 and the Women’s team winning their Euros, build on that momentum and go to the next step.

“England are definitely one of the favourites [to win the World Cup]. They have to be. They are in a group they should get out of – though the US will surprise a few people.

“But you just don’t know. You need a bit of luck, whether it’s with the draw or in the games. But England have certainly got the squad.”
