“It Is Tinubu’s Turn To Chop” – Governor Lalong

Governor Simon Lalong, the Director General of the APC’s presidential campaign, on Tuesday, pleaded with Nigerians to help Bola Tinubu to become the next President.

According to Lalong, it is time for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate to “chop”.

The Plateau native said this during the party’s presidential campaign rally in Ilorin, the Kwara capital.

Gov Lalong said, “If you do me good, I’ll do you good. If you do good on the other side, we’ll do good on this side. That is Emi Lokan. Is that not Emi Lokan?

“Asiwaju has done good. It is his turn, it is your turn, it is our turn. If you chop alone, you will die alone.

“He didn’t chop alone, so it is his turn to chop. And that is why Emi Lokan is very important.”

Lalong’s statement, however, seemed to have made the APC’s vice presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima, uncomfortable.

The former Borno governor drew Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s attention and murmured something to him.

“Peter Obi Thank You For Making It Easy To Speak For You” – LP Spokesman

Dele Farotimi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has taken aim at Daniel Bwala and Festus Keyamo, his rivals from the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress, respectively.

Farotimi claimed that in contrast to Bwala and Keyamo’s respective bosses, Atiku Abubakar and Bola Tinubu, his boss, Peter Obi, makes his work simple for him.

He said this in a post made via his Twitter account on Wednesday.

Obi, according to the lawyer, made his job simple by living a morally excellent life.

He wrote, “@PeterObi Oga, thank you for making it easy to speak for you. I am watching Daniel Bwala defending Atiku as I type and he reminded me of Keyamo from the day before. Thank you for making my job easy by the exemplary way you have conducted yourself and lived your life.”

“Why We NNPP And Labour Party Didn’t Merge” – Kwankwaso

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has provided more information regarding why a potential merger with the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, didn’t work out.

Recall that the NNPP and the Labour Party we’re rumoured to be discussing a collaboration in order to strengthen their chances at the election polls. The discussions, however, crashed between the two parties.

While speaking at the Chatham House on Wednesday, Kwankwaso claimed they were unable to come to an agreement because LP was experiencing the peak of the media hype.

He said: “On Labour Party, I was initially interested in working with them.

“But at that time, they were at peak of the media hype and we couldn’t reach a compromise. Our party (NNPP) is a national party, and we’re commanding the support of the masses.”

He continued: “If you have a party which is based on ethnicity and religion, that is the difference between the Labour party and our party, which is a national party, New Nigeria Peoples Party.”

Wike Says He Did Not Endorse Peter Obi

Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike, on Friday, spoke candidly about supporting Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP).

According to Wike, he did not endorse the LP presidential candidate with his remark that Obi was presidential material.

Speaking with BBC Pidgin, he said, “If I tell Obi that he is a presidential material, does that mean an endorsement?”

The former governor of Anambra State visited Wike in 2022, which sparked rumours that he would support Obi.

Wike is a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member but is yet to endorse a presidential candidate.

Wike and the G-5 governors are upset with the PDP leadership, which is why they are refusing to support Atiku Abubakar as the party’s presidential candidate.
