The entertainment industry is in shockwaves after Nigerian music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia was reported missing.
After he disappeared without a trace on February 10, 2025, his family has pleaded with the Department of State Services (DSS) for an immediate investigation into his whereabouts.
The award-winning artist left in his loungewear for his daily morning stroll but never came back, according to a petition that the Punch obtained and that was signed by Wilson Anuge, the family’s attorney.
Friends, relatives, and staff have made desperate attempts to get in touch with him, but to no avail. When a number of 2Baba’s close colleagues got odd messages from his social media accounts asking for financial support, the situation took an even more dire turn.
Adding to the intrigue, a viral video surfaced on Thursday, allegedly showing 2Baba proposing to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osaruwa, just hours after reports of his impending divorce from his wife, Annie Idibia.
While the authenticity of the footage remains unverified, it has only fueled speculation about his sudden disappearance.
