‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ Is Back!!! Sponsors And Host To Be Revealed On.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’ Series 2 – is said to be coming back to Nigerian’s screens and a special event to reveal the Sponsor and Host for the highly acclaimed TV Game Show is planned to take place on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.

The event to unveil the Sponsor and Host is being organized by UP, Nigeria’s top Payments & Financial Technology Company and Leaders in Digital Payments Innovation, in cooperation with BLK Hut Media, the show’s producers in Nigeria under Sony Pictures’ license.

According to Agada Apochi, Managing Director of UP, the purpose of the occasion is to formally introduce the new sponsors and host of the show to stakeholders and the general public.

Mr. Apochi informed the audience that the show would return with a bang and that they should brace themselves for fresh aspects of suspense, education, excitement, and entertainment.

He said, “We are sponsoring Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? to entertain, educate and excite Nigerians. The return of WWTBAM is coming with a bang that would create lasting memories in the audience’s minds. It is going to keep them on the edge of their seats as new millionaires emerge from the show.”

He also stated that the sponsors are proud and pleased to endorse such innovative and educational programming as the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? TV Game Show for Nigerians to enjoy.

‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’ was adapted from the British version. The Nigerian version premiered on October 8, 2004, and was however halted on June 25, 2017.

The show has had its share of thrilling moments throughout the years, with Aroma Ufodike taking home the big prize of N10 million. Osazuwa Osahon Daniels won N5 million in 2009, Babatunde Oni Oladipo won N5 million in 2010, and Nnaemeka Ubaekwena won N5 million in 2012.
