Wife Gets Angry As Husband Says He Has To Watch “The Batman” Instead Of Being At Their Child’s Birth

The arrival of our first child is probably one of the most important occasions in our life for many of us, and for most fathers, missing out on the moment your child is born would be heartbreaking.

However, one pregnant woman on Reddit is upset with her husband because he appears to have other priorities that conflict with the upcoming arrival of their baby, and he is unwilling to compromise.

The 25 year old pregnant woman who shared her story anonymously, revealed she’s expected to give birth in March on the same day that The Batman is set to enter theaters – and her husband, 28, is keen to witness Robert Pattinson in action as Bruce Wayne and his crime-fighting alter-ego on that same day.

The lady said, “My husband and I are expecting a baby. As you may know, there is a new Batman movie releasing in early March. My husband is a big fan of that kind of stuff and wants to see it on opening day.

“The issue is that our estimated due date is exactly on that day. I know that only a fraction of babies are actually born on the exact due date, but I have always been very regular on my periods, and I have a feeling that I may be one of those cases.”

Her husband claims that he has no option but to see the Matt Reeves-directed film on opening day because otherwise, he exposes himself to potential spoilers.

The man allegedly blamed his wife of being “irrational and emotional” because of her pregnancy when she voiced concerns over him being absent at their child’s birth.

The lady continued: “He says it is important to see the movie on the first day because of spoilers. He said that even if I end up having the baby that day while he is watching the movie, at worst he would arrive a few hours late – which he says is not such a big deal.

“He says I am being irrational and emotional because of being pregnant. I am upset because I feel deprioritized by him.”
