Will Smith Reveals What Floyd Mayweather Did For Him After The 2022 Oscars Slap

American Actor, Will Smith has spoken about the days that followed the Oscars incident in which he slapped Chris Rock.

At the 2022 Oscars, the actor got up on stage and smacked Chris Rock for making a crude joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

Will was in a difficult place in the days after the slap, and the actor claims Floyd Mayweather called him every day for ten days straight to check on him.

Smith revealed this at a private screening of his new film “Emancipation” at The London Hotel.

Will took a moment to thank Floyd, who was present, for being there for him despite the fact that they weren’t exactly best friends at the time.

He said, “I want to say something also about Floyd. So, we’ve met each other, we’ve seen each other around, but we weren’t like, friends.

“And, the day after the Oscars, for 10 days he called me every day. And, he was like, ‘Ay, you know you the champ, right? You good? You know you the champ, right? I want you to hear my voice say it.’

“That was every day he called me … and it’s like, that’s my dude forever right there.”

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
