At the 2026 MOBO Awards, which took place in Manchester, United Kingdom, British-Nigerian media personality Niko Omilana and music singers Wizkid and Ayra Starr were among the winners.
Wizkid defeated fellow Nigerians Davido, Rema, Shallipopi, Tiwa Savage, and Adekunle Gold to win the Best African Music Act award.
Ayra Starr defeated international celebrities including Cardi B, Gunna, and Kehlani to win the Best International Act award.
Niko Omilana defeated finalists Bemi Orojuogun, often known as Bus Aunty, and DJ Remi Burgz to win the Best Media Personality title.
Black music and culture were honored at the inaugural MOBO Awards in Manchester in 2026, which also honored a number of worldwide celebrities.
