A 57-year-old woman was charged on February 13 with k!lling her 35-year-old son for reportedly misbehaving with other women in the family in the Prakasam region of Andhra Pradesh, India.
On Saturday, February 17, Prakasam Superintendent of Police AR Damodar said that, with the help of her family, 57-year-old Lakshmi Devi killed her 35-year-old Shyam Prasad and dismembered his body.
Currently, the accused are evading arrest.
“Unable to bear her son’s perverted and indecent behaviour, Devi k!lled her son,” Damodar told PTI.
He stated that Prasad had also acted inappropriately with his aunts and other relatives in Bengaluru, Khammam, and Hyderabad.
Police sources also claimed that Prasad, who was unmarried, sought to r@pe his maternal aunts in Hyderabad and Narasaraopeta.
As a result, his mother allegedly k!lled and mutilated her son.
According to authorities, he was murdered with an axe or a sharp instrument, and his dismembered body was disposed of in Cumbum village’s Nakalgandi canal.
The suspects were charged under Sections 103(1) (penalty for murder) and 238 (causing the removal of evidence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The probe is still ongoing.
