Woman Shoots Boyfriend Dead Over ‘Rough S3x’

A South African woman has come clean about shooting her partner to death while he was sleeping because he had given her “rough s3x.”

The 28-year-old Zanele Mkhonto, who is being held on premeditated murder charges, is suspected of shooting and killing Happy Thwala, a 45-year-old police officer, on August 2, 2022, in Gedlembane, Pienaar, Mpumalanga.

According to Monica Nyuswa, a spokesman for the National Prosecuting Authority, the pair got into an argument when Zanele’s ex-boyfriend called.

Nyuswa said; “It is alleged that Thwala became angry, broke down and cried while threatening to shoot and kill Mkhonto. She managed to calm him down, and he gave her the gun, and they went on to have intercourse.”

Happy injured the woman during sex by acting aggressively. Zanele was furious at this, but she didn’t say anything until they were finished. Once Happy had slept off, Zanele stealthily pulled out his rifle and killed him.

The case was taken up and investigated by the Nelspruit Hawks Serious Organized Crime Investigation. After discovering evidence connecting Mkhonto to the killing, they apprehended her on August 10, 2022. She appeared in Kanyamazane Magistrates Court that same day, and the police detained her.

While receiving legal aid, Zanele had to fight in court several times to obtain bail, which the Magistrates Court ultimately refused. Since then, she has been detained. In order for the High Court to review a pre-sentence report, the court postponed the case until November 27, 2023.
