A woman who reportedly killed her husband for impregnating his sidechick in Lagos state’s Ebule-Egba area has been apprehended by police.
Alaba Bakare aka Bama, owner of the famous Bama Hotel and Suites, had lately returned from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with his wife and three children. His wife, Motunrayo, then found out that her husband had impregnated another woman shortly after their vacation in Dubai.
On Monday night, she allegedly drugged her husband and placed a hot iron on various places of his body till he died. CSP Ade Ajisebutu, Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police, confirmed her arrest.
He said, “The body has been deposited at the Yaba Mainland Hospital’s morgue for autopsy. The deceased’s wife and three others have been arrested in connection with the suspected murder case.”
Ajisebutu further stated that the Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, directed that the case be promptly moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, for a thorough investigation.
