As we celebrate the Year 2025 World Teachers’ Day, themed “Recasting Teaching as a Collaborative Profession,” we are reminded of the importance of unity, partnership, and shared responsibility in advancing the teaching profession and fostering excellence in education.
Every visionary leader, great thinker, and innovator who transforms the world stands upon the foundation laid by a teacher. Teachers are the silent achievers — unseen builders of dreams and torchbearers of enlightenment — whose dedication fuels humanity’s progress.
Teachers are more than instructors; they are moulders of character, nurturers of ambition, and catalysts of transformation. Their classrooms are laboratories of greatness where the future is shaped, and their influence transcends walls, timetables, and generations.
In Itire-Ikate LCDA, we firmly believe that no nation can rise above the quality of its teachers. This is why my administration remains unwavering in its commitment to celebrate, empower, and support educators. Through strategic investment, improved welfare, and inclusive educational policies, we will continue to ensure that teachers receive the recognition, respect, and platform they truly deserve.
As we commemorate this remarkable day, I extend heartfelt appreciation to all teachers across Itire-Ikate, Lagos State, and Nigeria for your resilience, patience, and tireless devotion to shaping lives and building a better tomorrow.
Your work may not always make the headlines, but your impact resonates through generations. You are the unsung heroes of progress, and today, the world pauses to honour and celebrate you.
